| Additional Learning ResourcesThis page is intended to provide you with pointers to other opportunities to learn about exascale, petascale and other computational tools, resources and methods! Blue Waters Webinar SeriesBlue Waters is providing a series of free webinars throughout the year. The webinars are conducted every Wednesday, with a few exceptions to avoid conflicts with major HPC events. Most sessions are an hour in length, although a few of them can go longer. Each session starts at 10 AM CDT. https://bluewaters.ncsa.illinois.edu/webinars XSEDE TrainingXSEDE offers training classes to teach users how to maximize their productivity and impact in using the XSEDE services. The training classes focus on systems and software supported by the XSEDE Service Providers, covering programming principles and techniques for using resources and services effectively. Training classes are offered in high performance computing, visualization, data management, distributed and grid computing, science gateways, and more. https://www.xsede.org/training1
SciNet ResourcesSciNet is a high-performance computing consortium of the University of Toronto and associated research hospitals, serving the computational needs of Canadian academic researchers. The following website contains the online content of SciNet's training and education program. It contains lecture videos, slides, links, forums and other electronic material, all publicly available. The materials are organized by course.

Best Practices for HPC Software Developers (WEBINAR SERIES)The HPC Best Practices webinars address issues faced by developers of computational science and engineering (CSE) software on high-performance computers (HPC). Participation is free and open to the public; however, registration is required for each event. This series is designed for HPC software developers who are seeking help in increasing their team’s productivity, as well as facility staff who interact extensively with users. The webinars have been organized by the IDEAS project in collaboration with the DOE/ASCR computing facilities (ALCF, NERSC, and OLCF), and the Exascale Computing Project (ECP).
For more information and archives of the webinar series, visit: ATPESC VideosThe Argonne Training Program on Extreme-Scale Computing (ATPESC) provides intensive, two weeks of training on the key skills, approaches, and tools to design, implement, and execute computational science and engineering applications on current high-end computing systems and the leadership-class computing systems of the future. The curriculum covers computer architectures, parallel programming models and languages, performance portability, algorithms and mathematical software, data management and analysis, debugging and performance analysis tools and techniques, software engineering, and approaches for working in teams on large multi-purpose codes. The videos of the past programs are posted on the Argonne Youtube Channel and allow the larger scientific and interested community to learn and benefit from the material presented at the event. http://extremecomputingtraining.anl.gov/archive/ BLUE WATERS EDUCATION AND TRAINING SERVICESThe Blue Waters project collaborates with the Shodor Education Foundation, Inc., the National Computational Science Institute (NCSI), the Ohio Supercomputer Center and other national HPC programs to prepare current and future faculty and both undergraduate and graduate students to gain the knowledge and skill sets necessary to capitalize on high-performance computing resources. Activities include education allocations, institutes, webinars, training sessions and workshops for faculty and students. Blue Waters also provides undergraduate internships, and graduate fellowships. https://bluewaters.ncsa.illinois.edu/education-overview ACM SIGHPC EDUCATION CHAPTERThe SIGHPC Education chapter has as its purpose the promotion of interest in and knowledge of applications of High Performance Computing (HPC). Our education and training subcommittee lists education and training materials that focus on computational science skills. If you know of other relevant materials, our committee will review them for possible addition to this list. https://sighpceducation.acm.org/resources.html
