As part of this program, undergraduate and graduate students will participate in a two-week, intensive Petascale Institute designed to teach the effective application of Blue Waters for problems in science, mathematics, and engineering. During the institute, instructors will provide guided, hands-on tutorials, and students will practice using real examples running on the Blue Waters architecture. After the institute, students will use their newly-acquired skills and knowledge in one-year research projects in petascale computing, matched with faculty mentors at accredited, degree-granting institutions.
