This project will apply the Charm++/AMPI runtime system developed by Sanjay Kale’s Parallel Programming Laboratory to the ISAM model, a state-of-the-art Earth-system modeling framework for the rapid integration of existing and new algorithms and interactive feedback processes between Earth’s climate, terrestrial biogeochemical-biogeophysical systems, and environmental factors.
