The primary goal of this project is to run NGA's Earth Gravity Model and provide solutions with quicker turnaround time.

NGA has a custom gravity model written in Fortran.  Their code repeatedly solves systems of linear equations and is threaded with OpenMP task parallelism and scales well with thread count.  Workflows that were taking NGA weeks, can run overnight on Blue Waters—enabling more research opportunities for NGA with their gravity model.
