During the institute, instructors will provide guided, hands-on lessons, with labs in which students will use working simulations running on the Blue Waters supercomputer. After the institute, students will use their newly-acquired skills and knowledge in one-year research projects in petascale computing, matched with faculty mentors at accredited, U.S. degree-granting institutions.
