The aim of the internship is to provide the student with experience in high performance computing and computational science. The vehicle for achieving this is by trying to develop a viable three dimensional (3D) kinetic Monte Carlo (KMC) model for capturing heteroepitaxial growth in quantum dots. We have had success with a two dimensional model. A viable 3D model brings us closer to experimental conditions.
