Henry Boateng, Benjamin EckardtThe aim of the internship is to provide the student with experience in high performance computing and computational science. The vehicle for achieving this is by trying to develop a viable three dimensional (3D) kinetic Monte Carlo (KMC) model for capturing heteroepitaxial growth in quantum dots. We have had success with a two dimensional model. A viable 3D model brings us closer to experimental conditions.
