As part of the Blue Waters Student Internship Program (BWSIP), undergraduate and graduate students learn the effective application of Blue Waters for problems in science, mathematics, and engineering. The students use their skills and knowledge in one-year research projects in petascale computing, matched with faculty mentors at accredited, degree-granting institutions.

This proposal details the Blue Waters access requirements for the instructional staff at Shodor during the 2016-17 program. This is a year-long request that will enable the staff to provide full support and mentoring to all of the interns. The interns and their mentors are submitting separate allocation proposals for their own year-long projects.
