The NCSA Materials and Manufacturing group has funded, via a competitive process, four graduate student fellows to catalyze activities within the thematic area. The students are currently working with NCSA staff to develop applications and scenarios. This exploratory Blue Waters proposal will provide the computing resources to allow the fellows to explore with their mentors how their research can be furthered through the use of advanced digital technology to address large scale problem solving.
